Call Out: Become one of our Young Producers!

Culture Warrington’s Young Producers programme is back 🎉

We’re on the lookout for a new cohort 12 young people, aged between 16 and 21, who are passionate about arts and culture and are interested in gaining real-life experience of managing events at a professional level with applications opening on Monday, 22 September.

The Young Producers scheme was originally launched in 2024 as a way for more young people to get their foot in the door of the creative industries.

But our new group will also be able to take an active role in the relaunch of Pyramid Arts Centre which is currently closed as part of a £4.9million redevelopment project.

They will have a say about what happens during the opening celebrations as well as supporting plans for Warrington Arts Festival 2026.

Further training and opportunities include:

  • Working with Culture Warrington’s creative team during half-term intensives and weekly sessions (in person and online).
  • Gaining skills and experience in producing, event planning and delivery, marketing, and project management.
  • Picking up valuable work experience opportunities, meeting industry experts, and experiencing what it is like to work in the creative industries.
  • Being an important part of the event delivery team during Culture Warrington and wider town centre events.
  • Getting a behind-the-scenes look of arts and culture organisations and venues.

🗣️ Hear it from our previous Young Producers:

What motivated you to be a Young Producer?

“I wanted to meet like-minded people and get the opportunity to showcase my ideas and creativity whilst also working as a team with fellow Young Producers and bouncing off of each other’s ideas.”

What difference has this experience made to you?

“This experience made me feel part of a creative community. It has shown me how teamwork, listening, and shared passion can lead to amazing results”

“I’m more confident sharing my ideas and talking openly to others”

How would you describe the experience to someone thinking of applying this year?

“Definitely go for it! It’s such a great experience where you get to meet lots of different professionals in the industry, make new friends, gain experience of producing and working an event, and feel really supported and uplifted throughout by the friendly staff”

So whether your interest is in music, dance, visual art, comedy, theatre, photography or film, if you’re a young person looking to gain experience in producing, festival planning or event management – we want to hear from you!

This opportunity is open to young people who live and/or study in Warrington.
