Artists call out: At No.25 Christmas installation

As part of Warrington Contemporary Arts Festival, Culture Warrington are looking to recruit a pair of artists or a small collective to create a magical Christmas space for Warrington’s children, young people and families.

Following on from the success of last year’s installation we are looking to commission at least two artists to collectively re-imagine our ‘At No.25‘ Christmas space located within Golden Square shopping centre.

Artists must work together and with the community to create a magical and captivating space that attracts families throughout December, engaging with a wide audience, spreading some festive cheer!

At No.25 is designed to be a sustainable installation where we aim to minimise waste and build upon year-on-year. Selected artists will have a wide inventory of existing items to choose from to create the space plus a budget to create or source new things.

The installation must be attractive, welcoming and safe.

Fee:

Artists fee: £3,500 (to be split between a minimum of 2 artists, we envisage a minimum of 10 days work will be required).

Materials budget: £2,000

Community workshops: £960 (six workshops x 2 artists @ £80 each 2 hour workshop)

Timescales:

Submissions close: 19th September

Workshops throughout October (dates to be arranged)

Install/making: Late October into November

Installation complete: 24 November

Open to the public: 26 November (to remain open on daily basis until 31 December)
