Actors revive Warrington war stories to mark VJ Day

Organisations and charities across Warrington are coming together to celebrate the town’s past, present and future in a collaborative project called The Time Machine.

Part of this exciting new project is The VJ Monologues, a series of short dramatisations directly inspired by recorded histories from actual Warrington residents on their own experiences of World War Two.

Discovered in the archives of Warrington Museum & Art Gallery, and brought to life by playwright Alexandra Keelan and creative company Ludovico, the intention is to highlight the people of World War Two in a more relatable and human way, providing additional insight and education for future generations.
