Your chance to learn more about improvements and changes at Warrington Museum & Art Gallery
Public engagement sessions are being held to find out what you think of plans to update Warrington Museum & Art Gallery and Central Library.
During September, the building which houses Warrington’s 152-year-old town centre museum and library will be closed for 2 weeks for a mini refurbishment.
We are re-energising our spaces to create a hub of creativity, heritage and learning for the town by increasing the links between the museum and library services.
A number of cosmetic changes will be made to the building and immersive activity spaces will be created alongside improved entry and access points, a new library counter and new branding, plus designated spaces for exhibitions and pop-up cafes.
As part of the changes Warrington Museum & Art Gallery and Central Library will become ‘Warrington Museum & Library’ and it is proposed that the building will be open to the public from 10am to 4.30pm on Wednesdays to Fridays, 10am to 4pm on Saturdays, and 11am to 3pm on Sundays.
To find out more about the proposed improvements pop along to the stakeholder engagement sessions on Wednesday 24th July and Tuesday 6th August at 6pm at Central Library.
